Like any AI, Ali can get things wrong. Children are encouraged to check with a grown-up, you see safety alerts in your parent dashboard, and you can report anything that looks wrong.
What we collect
- For parents: your name, email address and password (or Google sign-in), and your plan.
- For each child: a first name or nickname, their year group, a PIN you choose with them, an avatar and interests, and their learning activity — which stories, quizzes and games they did and how they got on.
- If you connect Google Classroom (Beta), we also keep the link to your child’s school account that is needed to fetch their set homework.
- When your child talks to Ali, the audio is turned into text so Ali can reply. We use the text to help your child and to show you what they practised.
What we never do
- We never show adverts, anywhere.
- We never sell or rent personal data, and we don’t use your child’s data to market to them.
- We don’t ask children for a surname, a photo or their location.
How Ali uses AI safely

- You can ask us to delete your account and your family’s data, apart from anything we must keep by law (for example payment records).
